The web site “jewisheritage.org” has been created by AEPJ, with informative character and with the purpose of disseminating its cultural and heritage activities, facilitating contact with institutions and individuals, and enabling subscription to news and initiatives promoted by AEPJ, the domain name jewisheritage.org being registered in its favour.

The present Legal Notice (hereinafter, “Legal Notice”), establishes the conditions that regulate the use of the services of the information society that AEPJ makes available to users through the Web.
Thus, access to and use of the Website implies that the user (hereinafter, the “User”) accepts in its entirety and agrees to comply fully with this Legal Notice, the terms and conditions, as well as the instructions or recommendations indicated in each specific case.
Access to the Web Site is free of charge, except for the cost of connection through the telecommunications network provided by the access provider contracted by the User.
AEPJ reserves the right to make, at any time and without prior notice, modifications and updates to the Web and its contents, configuration and presentation, including this Legal Notice, so we recommend reading it before each access and browsing the Web.
The User undertakes not to use the Website for fraudulent purposes, as well as not to carry out any conduct that could damage the image, interests and rights of AEPJ or third parties, and undertakes to use the Website, the Services and contents included therein in a diligent, correct and lawful manner. In particular, the User commits to abstain from: suppressing, evading or manipulating the copyright and other data identifying the rights of its owners incorporated to the contents of the Web, as well as the technical protection devices, or any information mechanism that these contents may include. In addition, the User undertakes not to perform any act with the aim of damaging, disabling or overloading the Website, or that prevents, in any way, the normal use and operation of the same.
In case of breach of this Legal Notice or AEPJ reasonably suspects that it is breaching them, it reserves the right to limit, suspend or terminate your access to the Website, adopting any technical measure necessary for this purpose.

Access to the information and part of the contents shown on the Web does not require registration by the Users.

The User acknowledges and agrees that the use of the Web is at all times at your risk and responsibility, so AEPJ is not responsible for the misuse or misuse that may be made of the Web. To this effect, AEPJ will only be liable for damages that the User may suffer from the use of the Web, when these damages are due to our wilful misconduct.
In particular, AEPJ will not be liable for:

• The content of the sites linked through the links included in the Web. In this regard, the terms contained in section 6 of this Legal Notice shall apply.
• Damage of any kind caused to the User’s computer equipment by viruses, worms, Trojan horses or any other harmful element. The User acknowledges that the use of the Internet network implies the assumption of a risk that his computer equipment may be affected by the aforementioned elements. To this end, it is up to the User, in any case, the availability of appropriate tools for the detection and removal of harmful electronic programs.
• The damages of any kind produced to the User that have origin in failures or disconnections in the telecommunications networks that cause the suspension, cancellation or interruption of the service of the Web. In this regard, the User acknowledges that access to the Web requires services provided by third parties outside the control of AEPJ (by way of example: telecommunications network operators, access providers, etc.) the reliability, quality, continuity and operation of which does not correspond to AEPJ.

The Website includes or may include links that allow the User to access other Internet pages and portals (hereinafter, “Links”). In these cases, AEPJ acts as an intermediary service provider in accordance with Article 17 of the LSSI, and will only be responsible for the content and services provided on the Linked Sites to the extent that it has actual knowledge of the unlawfulness and has not deactivated the link with due diligence. In the event that the User considers that there is a Link with illegal or inappropriate content, please notify AEPJ through communication@jewisheritage.org. In any case, this communication will entail the obligation to remove the corresponding link. The existence of Links in no case implies that AEPJ has effective knowledge or any other type of the services and contents of the same in case of illicitness, nor that it necessarily maintains agreements with the responsible or holders of the Links. Neither does the existence of these Links imply any recommendation, promotion, identification or conformity of AEPJ with the statements, contents or services provided through the Links. Consequently, AEPJ is not responsible for the content of the Links, nor for their conditions of use and confidentiality policies, being the User the only responsible for checking and accepting them every time he/she accesses them and makes use of them. The User and, in general, any natural or legal person who intends to establish a link from their page or site to the Web, must obtain prior written authorization from AEPJ. The establishment of this link does not imply in any case the existence of relations between AEPJ and the owner or holder of the site or page in which the link is established, nor the acceptance or approval by AEPJ of its contents or services. In any case, AEPJ reserves the right to prohibit or disable links to the Web Site at any time, especially in cases of unlawful activity or content of the page or site in which the link is included.

AEPJ makes every effort to ensure that browsing through this website is done under the best conditions.
It is prohibited to decompile, reverse engineer, sublicense or transmit in any way, translate or make derivative works of the computer programs necessary for the operation, access and use of this website and the services contained therein. The user of the website must refrain in any case from deleting, altering, evading or manipulating any protection device or security systems that may be installed on it.
AEPJ is not responsible for any type of damage suffered by users for the use of browsers or versions other than the browsers for which this website has been designed.

The use of the Website is governed by and construed in accordance with Spanish Law and it shall be understood that, by using the Website, the User agrees that any dispute or litigation arising between the User and AEPJ shall be dealt with in accordance with the User and Consumer Legislation. In the event that any of the provisions contained in this Legal Notice is declared null and void, it will be withdrawn or replaced. In any case, this declaration of nullity shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions contained in this Legal Notice.
