European Days of Jewish Culture
A Europe-wide initiative celebrating the richness, diversity and living legacy of Jewish heritage.
The European Days of Jewish Culture is one of Europe’s most significant cultural initiatives dedicated to Jewish heritage. Held annually since 1999, the festival takes place simultaneously in numerous countries, inviting audiences to explore Jewish history, traditions and contemporary culture through a wide range of activities.
Coordinated at a European level by the AEPJ, the initiative provides cohesion, visibility and shared direction while supporting local organisers with guidance, resources and training. Each edition is shaped around a central theme that inspires a decentralised, open and pluralistic programme across participating countries.

By opening the doors of heritage sites and encouraging cultural participation, the European Days of Jewish Culture fosters dialogue, promotes mutual understanding and reinforces the place of Jewish heritage within Europe’s shared cultural landscape.
